Houston Vehicle Wraps - Why Now?

Just a quick blog today with some random thoughts.  I travel around the country a fair amount, and it's frankly surprising how many vehicle wraps there are!  Obviously, a lot of people are realizing what a great marketing tool that wrapping your vehicle can be.

It's a little surprising to me that vehicle wraps are not a little more popular in the Houston area.  I wouldn't say that car wraps are any more or less popular than other cities like Dallas/Fort Worth, but it is certainly not as prevalent as some other major US cities I have visited.  And even here in Texas, San Antonio wraps their transit buss's but Houston does not.  Weird, you'd think the city would

be interested in trying to capture that advertising revenue stream.  It's not like having graphics on the bus makes them more of an eye sore than they already are . . .

Houston ought to be a great town for vehicle wraps.  The weather is warm pretty much all year round, so we don't have to deal with frost and freezes that might otherwise degrade the longevity of a vehicle wrap, and it also means it is much easier to take care of and keep clean a car that is wrapped.  Houston vehicle wraps are so much easier to keep the advertising brilliant and effective.

I can only think that it's because the Houston Vehicle Wrap companies have not done a more effective job of getting out the word on how awesome and cost effective a car wrap, van wrap, fleet graphic (or boat wrap, RV wrap, golf cart wrap . . . you get the picture) can be!
