Today's blog is just a chart, but like a picture it is is worth a thousand words. In fact, with this chart you would be able to figure out the cost of marketing to each of those 1,000 words! CPM stands for "Cost Per Thousand", and this chart shows you the cost of reaching your audience in terms of cost per thousand for a variety of media outlets. We won't beat this dead horse TOO much, but you will notice that "outdoor" has a very attractive CPM. Obviously, outdoor (or "Out of Home") advertising is not for every business . . . but it is certainly an attractive option if you can make it work. Keep in mind as well (and check out our other blog "The Most Cost Effective Advertising") that the costs here are pretty much all the monthly least of renting the outdoor structure. In the case of vehicle graphics, that cost is effectively zero if you own your own vehicle.
